Your First Call: A Conversation, Not a Transaction
Unlike most practices, when you contact us, we won’t try to hurriedly book an appointment with you and move on to the next call. At Welcome Smiles, your call is never a transaction, it’s a conversation. Whether you’re a first-time caller or a long-time patient, we’ll give you all the time and personal attention it takes to discern the best way to address your needs.
When you make your first call to our office, you’ll be helped by a dedicated staff member who will really listen to you and ask the right questions to get to the heart of the matter. Our goal for this first conversation is not only to provide information and answer your questions, but to truly understand the reason for your inquiry. We want to get to know your individual needs and expectations so that if you choose to make an appointment, we’ll be ready to move forward with you based on a clear understanding of what you’re looking for.
Your First Visit
At Welcome Smiles, you’ll be invited into our consult room where a certified dental assistant will go over the information from your initial call, evaluate your medical history, and discuss your treatment goals. We’ll also ask about any dental anxiety or concerns you may have so that we can be sure to work with you to alleviate them through your treatment. You’ll then be joined by your doctor, who will review every detail with you to make sure we understand exactly what you’re looking for and that all your questions are answered.
You’ll have the opportunity to take a tour of the office, meet the staff, and learn about some of our state-of-the-art equipment. Then, x-rays and photos will be taken and your doctor and an assistant will proceed with a thorough oral examination. We believe in transparency and that communication is paramount to establishing a trusting patient-doctor relationship. Because we believe it’s important for you to feel involved and informed, all along the way we’ll explain to you what we’re doing, what we’re seeing, and what that means to you. If at any point during the process you have questions, we want you to feel empowered to ask them.
We conclude your first visit by sharing a complete summary of everything noticed during your exam and answering any final questions you might have. Your doctor will then review your case and develop treatment plan options based on your specific requirements to present to you at your next appointment.

If you will need x-rays released from another practice and forwarded to Welcome Smiles, please download and use our X-Ray Release Form to request.
