Visiting Endodontist

Welcome Smiles Dental Office is a private, single owner, family practice providing general and specialized dental care to a large patient base in Auburn and surrounding towns of central Massachusetts. Currently, we are looking for a visiting endodontist to work at our office once a week, every Friday.

About the Practice
Dr. Mehta and Dr. Craigen work with a group of 14 dedicated, lively, and fun team members. The office culture is steeped in collaboration, light-hearted fun, and teamwork. We are a general practice, but provide many specialty services including Invisalign, implant placement and bone augmentation surgeries including sinus grafts, periodontal grafting surgeries, Botox and Dermal fillers, TMJ therapy, etc. The office prides itself in the state of the art care aided by various technologies, such as CEREC Prime scan, iTero 5D, Fotona NdYag and Erbium laser, CBCT and Digital Panorex, Mectron Piezon scaler and more.

Our patients are discerning families who place a high degree of value on their oral health care decisions. While about half of our patients have contracted insurance benefits (Delta, BlueCross), the other half of our patient base is self pay or non contracted insurances.

About the opportunity:
While we did perform some Endodontic treatments in our office, most of our cases (120 in year 2022) were referred to Endodontic specialty offices. Moving forward, we intend to provide our patients with the benefit of in house Endodontic treatment rendered by a skilled, caring visiting endodontist.

The endodontist that we are seeking will be working on Fridays. With the office open from 7am to 4pm, the appointment schedule can be arranged per the convenience and availability of the endodontist. We expect to be able to schedule 2-3 cases for every Friday.

The endodontist will have the luxury of a dedicated operatory equipped with a Ziess Microscope, promark endomotor with wave gold rotary files armamentarium, Piezo ultrasonic scaler, root ZX apex locator and more. The endodontist will be starting cases that have been prepared with complete diagnostic records, clinical exam notes, PA and CT Scan. The patient will have firm financials prior to the appointment and remuneration will be based on net production.

While the endodontist can count on support and help from all team members in the office, they will find that they will have the pleasure of working with a skilled, dedicated assistant and a very good administrative support. Our office has robust, well established communication protocols with remote access to digital records, enabling efficient and timely patient care with clear and accurate reports on production, billing and collections.

Relevant Experience:
While experience will be taken into consideration, it is most critical to have good references of clinicians you have worked with as colleagues, mentors and teachers.

Renumeration:
For the candidate who satisfies the job requirements, we are confident we will be able to pay better than the best in the market. It will be based on net production and payable within 30 days of billing and completion of treatment. A generous CE expense reimbursement will be available.
